About Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program
The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme is a signature initiative for the Australian Government that enables workers from 9 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) and Timor- Leste to work in priority sectors in Australia. The Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program’s (PLMSP) role is to provide the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and governments in 9 PICs and Timor-Leste with support to enable workers to access PALM scheme in inclusive ways that maximise the benefits for the workers and national economies while minimising risks from labour mobility participation. Palladium is contracted to deliver PLMSP on behalf of DFAT.
This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to shape, establish and lead the risk, security and health & safety function for PLMSP, ensuring robust systems, practices and safeguards across an expanding regional program.
The Risk and Security Manager will coordinate and strengthen a network of in‑country focal points, delivering risk, security and occupational health and safety (OHS) activities across nine Pacific Island countries and Timor‑Leste. The role is responsible for ensuring appropriate risk management, security arrangements, preparedness, compliance and operational resilience across all project locations.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring personnel safety, safeguarding program assets, embedding strong risk practices, and ensuring PLMSP is well‑prepared for the dynamic and evolving risk environment across the Pacific.
This is a fixed term role till September 2028.
