This position will ensure the effective delivery of multi-year programs and consulting programs in the Asia Pacific region and provide operational support to the Development Pathways Asia Pacific office.
The Programme and Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the effective delivery of existing and new projects/programs across our portfolio in the Asia Pacific region, including working as the Programme Manager for the Social Protection Advice, Research and Capability building (SPARC) platform, is a five-year program focused on strengthening Australia’s international development program and policy engagements related to social protection, poverty, economic development, and community-driven development. It provides technical assistance, primarily in Asia, and aims to support DFAT’s Social Protection team and Posts. SPARC provides technical assistance and delivers longer-term projects to support DFAT social protection policy and program engagements, with a focus on Asia.
The Programme and Operations Manager will work closely with the Deputy Head of Asia Pacific to provide operational leadership and support to the Asia Pacific office, and support key corporate functions such as budget management, procurement and contracting, and business development. Working across project and corporate functions, this role offers an exciting, challenging and cross-cutting engagement, supporting our growing team and work in the region.
