It aims to scale and expand on the critical lessons learned in the DFAT-funded Business Partnerships Platform (BPP) pilot to support DFAT and the Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP) to address climate infrastructure mitigation, adaptation and resilience among Pacific states and help Australia be the climate infrastructure partner of choice in the Pacific.
Purpose of Position
The Modern Slavery Adviser will be responsible for developing a Modern Slavery Risk Management Plan and will assist in screening and evaluating off-grid renewable energy project proposals.
The role is part time for up to 75 days per year.

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
The Australia-Indonesia Partnership Towards an Inclusive Society, or INKLUSI, is working to increase the participation of marginalised groups in, and their benefit from, Indonesia’s socio-cultural, economic and political development. INKLUSI works with government and civil society partners to advance their work in gender equality, the rights of persons with disabilities and social inclusion. INKLUSI supports the Government of Indonesia’s agenda for inclusion, including through national development plans and the Sustainable Development Goals.
INKLUSI is an 8-year (2021-2029) bilateral Australian and Indonesian Government program with a budget of up to AUD 120 million. It is partnering with 11 Indonesian civil society organisations, 8 research partner institutions and their networks across 32 provinces, >120 district/cities, >800 villages in Indonesia.
Background
The Fiji Program Support Platform (FPSP, also referred to as the ‘Platform’) is an Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded initiative. Commencing from January 2025, it will contribute to the delivery of Fiji’s national development priorities, in line with Australia's International Development Policy, the Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership and the Development Partnership Plan.
The Platform will deliver key bilateral programs, such as health, education, scholarships, social infrastructure, governance and emergency preparedness and response. Platform activities will identify and address climate risks, promote climate action, and gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) across and beyond the sector programs. The Fiji Program Support Platform will operate until 30 September 2029.
