Economic Reintegration Manager (PLMSP - Palladium)

Project Overview:

The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme is a signature initiative for the Australian Government that enables workers from 9 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) and Timor- Leste to work in priority sectors in Australia. The Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program’s (PLMSP) role is to provide the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and governments in 9 PICs and Timor-Leste with support to enable workers to access PALM scheme in inclusive ways that maximise the benefits for the workers and national economies while minimising risks from labour mobility participation. Palladium is contracted to deliver PLMSP on behalf of DFAT.  

Role Overview:

The Economic Reintegration Manager will support activities in Australia, the Pacific and Timor-Leste that contribute to the successful economic reintegration of returning PALM workers and their families. This will include designing, planning, coordinating, managing, facilitating and delivering reintegration support to partner countries, PALM workers and their families, and Australian Approved Employers.

This is a fixed term opportunity required till September 2028 with possibility of extension.

The Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program runs through to September 2028. This is a fixed term opportunity in line with the program duration.  

• Australian citizenship.
• Fixed term full time contract to July 2025, with possibility of an extension.
• Canberra based is ideal but remote candidates will also be considered.
• A current security clearance is required for this position. A baseline clearance may be considered for Canberra based office work, but NV1/2 preferred and required for remote work.
• Salary banding in accordance with EL1/APS6 Level.
• Ability to travel internationally (as required).
• Occasional out of hours work may be required.
• Remote/flexible work arrangement may be work may be considered.

To enable effective CRC management and implementation, CRCSU plans to scope, develop and implement an interactive Management Information System (MIS) to facilitate, day-to-day operations, analysis and dissemination of data to DFAT and other key stakeholders as well as support efficient management and implementation of the CRC and CRCSU.
