The opportunity
Australia Awards PNG (AAPNG)
Program Goal: To support Papua New Guinea to achieve its development goals through education, knowledge transfer, and institutional capacity building, and to build enduring relationships with Australia.
Objective: To support institution-to-institution partnerships and inclusive collaborations, forge people-to-people links, support high quality education, and strengthen accredited training institutions in PNG.
Australia Awards PNG (AAPNG) supports Papua New Guinea to achieve its development goals through education, knowledge transfer, and institutional capacity building, through enduring relationships with Australia. This is achieved through institution-to-institution partnerships and inclusive collaborations that produces high quality education and strengthens accredited training institutions in PNG.
Key responsibilities

Liaising with service providers, make and amend travel and accommodation bookings for awardees, and program participants

Provide accurate data entry support across a range of AAPNG and DFAT management information systems (MIS) for participant data, travel logistics and invoicing

Maintain accurate hardcopy and electronic files and records in accordance with standard operating procedures and direction from program managers and the Project Coordinator

Support awardee passport and visa applications and medical clearance processes

Support event management logistics and administration and arrange logistics for smaller workshops and stakeholder meetings

Support other activities across all AAPNG program and other duties from time to time
Selection criteria
-
A minimum of Grade 12 (Upper Secondary) with good grades across all subjects taken

Demonstrated experience in teamwork, including working within a culturally diverse team

Strong organisation and time management skills including the ability to manage competing tasks in a timely manner

Strong English skills in written and oral communication

Sound computer skills using all Microsoft Office 365 applications

Experience working independently and within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment
