The Strategic Delivery Senior Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead the implementation and evolution of PLMSP’s strategic framework, aligning with DFAT’s regional objectives.
- Translate program activities into agile plans in collaboration with internal streams and the Program Integrity team.
- Conduct and apply political economy and context analyses to inform program planning.
- Monitor partner country policies to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Guide staff engagement within ecosystems to support strategic and diplomatic goals.
- Manage strategic reporting to PLMSP SLT and DFAT, showcasing political engagement and progress.
- Contribute to performance and governance reporting as required.
- Deliver training on political engagement, partnership brokering, and cultural awareness.
- Support staff and leadership in applying political and stakeholder analyses to program delivery.
- Build and manage a consultant pool with relevant technical expertise.
- Mentor and coach staff, ensuring clear communication of leadership priorities.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (including in international development/policy, public policy/administration, strategic management, economics).
- Minimum 10 years' work experience in a similar role focused on strategic program design and adaptive management in an international development context, preferably in DFAT-funded programs and in the Pacific or Timor-Leste.
- Demonstrated experience in thinking and working politically.
- Demonstrated strategic engagement in the Pacific and Timor-Leste with a strong understanding of governance and culture in PALM partner countries.
- Excellent written and communications skills with demonstrated experience in using communications strategically for advocacy purposes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to operate diplomatically and with cross-cultural sensitivity with government, private sector, and community stakeholders.
- Excellent management skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, coach, develop and evaluate a team.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations throughout the APAC region
