Summary
The Senior Support Coordinator plays a key operational role in assisting Tuvaluan applicants participating in the Falepili mobility pathway. This role focuses on providing high-quality, culturally sensitive support through the visa application process — including coordination of health checks and delivery of biometric (bio) checks.
You will be the main point of contact for many applicants navigating the post-ballot steps and will ensure that every individual feels informed, respected, and supported throughout their journey.
Description
Key responsibilities:
- Assist applicants with understanding the visa process and requirements
- Coordinate applicant access to approved health check services and support pre-appointment preparation
- Support with the in-person biometric (bio) checks as required for visa processing.
- Provide logistical support for appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up
- Track applicant progress through medical and bio-check stages and maintain confidential records
- Support information sessions, outreach events, and community education efforts
- Respond to questions from applicants with professionalism and cultural awareness
- Escalate complex or urgent matters to the In-Country Lead
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and government officials to streamline applicant support
- Work closely with the wider Island Spirit team to ensure a consistent, supportive applicant experience
- Assist in coordinating and implementing project activities, events, and meetings.
- Support the preparation of financial and administrative reports, including budget tracking, expense reports, and purchase orders.
- Support the procurement and logistics processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contracting.
- Provide interpretation and translation services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required.
