About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Senior Grants Manager will lead the Grants Management Shared Service team in supporting six Abt service delivery programs. The role ensures all grants are implemented effectively, compliantly, and efficiently. The role is responsible for providing strategic advice for grant making and grant management in accordance with the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines. The role will set Abt Global’s grant management standards and drive a strategic and cohesive approach to grants management across the company. The position will work closely with Team Leaders and Program Managers responsible for managing grants.
About You
For applications to be considered, a response to the key selection criteria below must be provided.
- Post graduate qualifications in law, social sciences, management, accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Excellent knowledge of grant management processes (end to end) and regulatory frameworks including the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines and with a particular emphasis on financial management (and audits).
- Demonstrated extensive (10+ yrs) senior management experience in the establishment and implementation of grant programs (funded by international organisations) with the capacity to offer high level strategic grants management advice, particularly in the PNG context.
- Significant relevant professional stakeholder engagement experience dealing with a broad range of partner organisations including Government, INGOs, academic and research institutions, private sector and community based civil society organisations and special interest groups, especially in a cross-cultural context.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals with the tenacity, and the ability to deal with multiple projects across a range of stakeholders.
