Summary

The Australia Awards South Asia & Mongolia program is seeking technical proposals from Registered Training Organisations in Australia, or Australian tertiary institutions as defined in the Higher Education Support Act, 2003 Table A, B and C, to design and deliver a Short Course in ‘Women in executive leadership (Regional).

Description

Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia (the Program) is seeking a cost-effective training program for up to 25 participants. This Short Course will be delivered via blended delivery over six months, commencing in December 2025 and completing no later than May 2025.

The Women in Executive Leadership Development Program seeks to enable women from South Asia and Mongolia to clarify their leadership ambitions; recognise their leadership strengths; and access leadership positions. In addition to the development of competencies for enhanced leadership capabilities, the short course will explore the importance of strong female role models to drive the next generation of women. Countering gender stereotypes, unearthing systemic barriers to women’s advancement, peer coaching, mentorship and the development of strong gender networks will complement relevant leadership theory in order to provide practical tools for application in a leadership environment.

The course should look to build participants capacity to drive positive change within their organisations. Participants should be provided with a toolkit of ideas that will help them champion policies and opportunities to promote women, including themselves, into leadership roles.  Participants should have a clear understanding of the barriers that women encounter when seeking advancement in the workplace.
