Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia is seeking an Australian Higher Education provider or an Australian Registered Training Organisation to deliver the Developing Carbon-Conscious Mining – (Mongolia) Short Course.
Description
The course will allow participants from the mining sector and other stakeholders to understand key concepts of climate change and the required actions. It will help participants understand how the carbon market works, especially concerning tree/forestry. This will enhance their understanding of the importance of planting trees and their potential local and international participation in the carbon market when the appropriate time comes.
One crucial component of this course will be raising awareness and advocating for climate change actions. The course will be an opportunity to develop and disseminate various communication products, such as social media posts, reels, posters, and interviews, on all topics covered in the short course. The short course will also provide opportunities for linkages and continuous exchanges between participants and Australian-based and local organisations and experts.
The Short Course will be delivered via blended delivery (online and in Mongolia) using various connected learning strategies. This approach will maximize opportunities for participants to familiarise themselves with the materials and learning, contextualize their learning, exchange information, and interact with key stakeholders in the program country.
This Short Course will support for up to 20 participants
