Summary
We are seeking the services of an experienced provider to assist in:

Mapping referral pathways to support inclusion for children with additional needs in the school environment (focusing on Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2); and
-
Assistive device procurement and resource management for primary schools in targeted locations.
The services will need to be undertaken in a manner to support PIE achieve its objectives related to inclusive access and retention in early grades education.

Description
The Partnerships for Improving Education (PIE) Program is implemented by Abt Global and is a 5-year, Government of Australia investment to support the Government of Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Autonomous Region of Bougainville to improve the learning outcomes for girls, boys and children with a disability in early grade education.
PIE operates at the national and subnational levels to address priority education challenges related to access, quality and retention in the early grades. The program contributes to early-grade teacher upgrading and policy and practice to create an enabling environment for lasting, systemic change. Subnational locations include Central, Enga, Sandaun and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.
The end-of-investment outcomes for the PIE investment are:

Targeted Outcome 1: More children (girls, boys, and children with disabilities) in the early grades enrol and stay in school in selected locations using replicable and sustainable approaches.

Targeted Outcome 2: Target locations are using sustainable and replicable approaches to support improvements in the quality of teaching and learning in the early grades.

Enabling Outcome 3: Evidence of systemic change within the education sector that improves the delivery of early grades education.
