About the program
Adam Smith International (Australia) Pty Ltd (ASI) manages the Australia-Pacific Partnerships for Aviation Program (P4A) for the Australian Government. P4A works with Pacific partners to strengthen safe, secure and reliable aviation.
About the opportunity
P4A is seeking a contractor to design, supply and install a temporary storage shelter for ground service equipment (GSE) airside at Bonriki International Airport (TRW), South Tarawa, Kiribati. The shelter will be used by the Airports Kiribati Authority (AKA).
The works include:
- supply and installation of a specified AllShelter fabric shelter, including a rear wall and roller door;
- design of the anchorage to a concrete slab, and the associated concrete works;
- freight, insurance, customs clearance and delivery to site;
- safe installation on an operating airport; and
- handover, including registration of the manufacturer's warranty.
The contract is design and construct, for a fixed lump sum in Australian dollars (AUD). Tenderers must price the specified AllShelter shelter. They may also offer an alternative shelter as a clearly marked second option.
Who can tender
Contractors may tender alone or as a joint venture. Tenderers must have completed at least one contract of similar nature and complexity in the last five years. Examples include supplying and erecting a steel-framed or prefabricated structure with associated concrete works. Partnerships and joint ventures with Kiribati firms are allowed. Experience in Kiribati or the wider Pacific is an advantage.
How tenders will be assessed
Tenders will be assessed on best value for money: 70% quality (experience and capacity, technical solution, and delivery approach) and 30% price.
