The Role
Pacific Australia Skills Solomon Islands country office requires an Office Cleaner and Administration Support. The Office Cleaner and Administration Support is responsible for keeping the Main Office (Town Ground) and Skills Hub Centre (Kwaimani) clean, tidy, and safe. This includes maintaining office rooms, meeting and training rooms, kitchen areas, and washrooms to a high standard of hygiene, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for staff, training participants, and visitors. Alongside cleaning duties, the role also supports administration and training staff with routine tasks and helps create a friendly, professional atmosphere by welcoming staff, visitors, and students with good customer service.
Responsibilities will include:
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust Town Ground Office and Kwaimani Skills Hub areas, including workstations, corridors, and shared spaces.
- Clean and disinfect washrooms, replenish supplies such as soap, tissue, and sanitizer, and maintain hygienic conditions.
- Wash dishes, clean kitchen appliances, and keep pantry and dining areas in order.
- Prepare and serve tea/coffee for staff, visitors, and training participants as needed.
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of office waste appropriately.
- Ensure meeting and training rooms are tidy, with furniture arranged and supplies available.
- Monitor cleaning materials and request replenishment when needed.
- Assist with minor errands and office support tasks as directed by the Country Operations Manager.
- Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth and effective delivery of Pacific Australia Skills in Solomon Islands.
Selection Criteria
Essential Experience

Prior experience in office cleaning or facility support is preferred.

Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and use of cleaning equipment.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards.

Understanding of and commitment to Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Child Protection, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH),

prevention of human trafficking, environmental protection, anti-corruption and other DFAT safeguarding policies.
