The Bougainville Partnership (BP) took on its current form in 2016, inheriting activities from a number of separately administered initiatives. The new program commencing April 2022 is identified as a key element of the new Australian Subnational Strategic Framework for PNG, recently established to bring together a rationale and operational framework for a set of place-based initiatives that reflect geographical priorities based on the mutual interests of Australia and PNG.

About the Opportunity 

The Localisation Manager will support the BP Director to implement special projects, oversee CGISP; tier II grant implementation e.g. SSCM Civil Society grants and harmonise BP programming with other actors and across the APSP.  Where feasible, and cognisant of local capacity constraints, the Localisation Manager will ensure that DFAT’s localisation policies are integrated into BP programming and service delivery methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Project management, Business Management, Development studies or equivalent

• Over 5 years working experience in similar roles
• Ability to manage operational aspects of projects
• Project and Budget management experience
• Grant Management experience
• Report writing skills
• Good communications and Problem-solving skills
• Planning & Organizational skills 
• Previous leadership and management experience
• Familiar with Bougainville Local context
