The Engagement Manager will be responsible for:
- Lead and coordinate PLMSP country strategy, plans, budgets, and emerging priorities with PTLE leadership, LSUs, DFAT, and key labour mobility stakeholders.
- Build and manage high‑level relationships with LSU leadership and partners to advance labour mobility goals, strengthen linkages, inclusion, and worker reintegration.
- Act as the knowledge lead for PALM priorities, ensuring timely reporting and information flow to DFAT, PLMSP, and LSUs.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate labour mobility risks, maintaining country risk registers and developing mitigation strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance and risk support to LSU Directors and senior ministry partners to advance labour mobility outcomes.
- Manage in‑country PLMSP PTLE staff and support the delivery of DFAT priorities, pilots, and initiatives (e.g., GBV prevention, sector expansion, child protection).
- Oversee reporting, compliance, governance, and program development aligned with PLMSP, DPP, and country strategies.
- Foster stakeholder relationships, mentor staff, promote respectful and inclusive workplaces, ensure policy compliance, uphold integrity, and undertake travel or other duties as required.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in similar project support or management roles.

Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff working remotely and in various different work environments.

A demonstrated ability to build respectful, productive and sustainable working relationships with a variety of stakeholders (including partner government, civil society and the private sector) and working together to achieve results.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams and technical inputs, including sub-contractors.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior research and analytical skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, including an ability to initiate and follow up tasks, work independently, and prioritise and monitor progress.
- Competency in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and Office 365.
