Background of the Program
The Australia-Indonesia Knowledge and Innovation Collaboration Partnership Program (KONEKSI) is a collaborative initiative between the Government of Australia and the Government of Indonesia in the Indonesian knowledge and innovation sector. KONEKSI aims to enhance the utilisation of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies. This objective positions KONEKSI as a platform for generating knowledge and offering solutions to complex socio-economic problems that support the knowledge-to-policy cycle (K2P) and the knowledge-to-innovation cycle (K2I) in a complementary and synergistic manner.
KONEKSI focuses on two End of Investment Outcomes (EOIO), which are as follows:
- Increase cooperation and mutual understanding among Australian and Indonesian organisations through knowledge partnership.
- Generation of innovative solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies through knowledge partnerships.
Summary of the Position
KONEKSI is looking for a dynamic early-mid career level database/IT professional. The Knowledge & Partnership Hub Management Advisor will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Knowledge & Partnership Hub, including maintaining up-to-date directories of researchers, institutions and research projects on the Hub. Under the overall direction of the Head of GEDSI and Partnership Strategy (HoGPS), the Knowledge & Partnership Hub Management Advisor will work closely with the Hub’s vendor to develop and maintain the Hub, ensure it meets the needs of the expanding program and monitor developments to support the Hub serving its core purposes and functions. The position will also require working closely with the Performance, Planning and Learning, Stakeholder, GEDSI, and Communications and Public Discourse teams to ensure smooth cross-unit coordination of the Hub’s content and functions across all KONEKSI programs. The Knowledge & Partnership Hub Management Advisor will also be responsible for delivering their responsibilities in a timely manner to a high standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Head of GEDSI and Partnership Strategy, the Knowledge & Partnership Hub Management Advisorwill be responsible for:
- The management and maintenance of KONEKSI’s Knowledge & Partnership Hub’s database, content and directories, and user login functionality
- Support the development and implementation of new features and improved user interface of the Knowledge & Partnership Hub based on feedback from stakeholders
- Periodically review the suitability of software information management tools for the Hub and its user
- Routine maintenance and adaptation of the Hub and interface to ensure smooth and responsive end-user experience.
- Periodically update the Hub’s platform to accommodate new datasets or meet new reporting and analysis requirements
- Maintain good data quality and periodically conduct data cleaning on large-scale datasets stored in the Hub
- Providing timely technical and administrative support for the Hub’s users
- Work closely with Partnerships, Performance, Planning and Learning, Communications and Public Discourse and GEDSI teams to ensure well-coordinated information across KONEKSI’s programs for the Hub
- Provide KONEKSI team with regular reports, updates and issues that need to be addressed relating to the Hub, its content and stakeholders
- Support the active engagement of the Hub’s community, networks and stakeholders
- Other Hub-related duties and responsibilities as the need arises.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar field
Essential Skills:
- Good understanding of Microsoft 365 as an online platform for the project and a good understanding of SharePoint management;
- Capacity to support Hub users to trouble shoot and adapt user modules and tools to meet needs.
- Ability to develop dashboards and data visualisations with Microsoft PowerBI or another relevant program such as Tableau.
- Ability to communicate/explain database technical matters in simple language for users.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and working in a cross-cultural environment
- Ability to develop a simple user guide for the Hub
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities simultaneously, while executing against key deliverables with excellence
- Team player
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Proactive and willing to identify and develop new tools and improvements to enhance the performance of existing systems.
- Experience in community and/or stakeholder engagement
- Basic GEDSI knowledge/experience.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
