Independent Technical Review Consultant
The Strategic Health Infrastructure (SHI) Investment is an Australian Government program implemented by Johnstaff International Development (JID). JID is inviting suitably experienced Architectural Design firms to submit a Tender Response for the Independent Technical Review (ITR) of SHI projects.
The SHI program comprises the delivery of two separate projects:
- The redevelopment and refurbishment of the GWARE Building at ANGAU Memorial Hospital in Lae, Papua New Guinea and,
- The construction of staff accommodation for the Western Provincial Health Authority (WPHA), on Daru Island in Western Province, Papua New Guinea.
The ITR consultant will be appointed to review the full design documentation developed to date for both GWARE redevelopment project and Daru Staff Housing Project. The Consultant will be required to review design against applicable building codes, standards, and project-specific requirements, and identify refinements or value engineering opportunities. Additionally, ITR Consultant will be required to confirm integration of SHI Quality and Sustainability initiatives such as, Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction (CCDRR), Health, Safety, Environment (HSE).
