About PNG-Australia Strongim Wok Long TVET (SWLT)
The Papua New Guinea (PNG)–Australia Strongim Wok Long Technical and Vocational Education and Training (SWLT) program is a new Australian Government investment that will be working in partnership with PNG to strengthen its technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector. Aligned with PNG’s national priority to build an educated and skilled workforce for resilient economic growth, SWLT aims to enhance the quality, relevance, and inclusiveness of skills development. The program will work closely with TVET stakeholders and select technical colleges to grow the number of skilled individuals with industry relevant skills.
This Opportunity
As Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Coordinator you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and functionality of digital systems and ICT infrastructure which support the SWLT project.
This will include:
- Providing real-time IT and AV support for SWLT staff and events, including troubleshooting issues remotely and onsite.
- Managing ICT infrastructure, software installations, and user access across platforms like SharePoint and Teams.
- Overseeing onboarding/offboarding processes, IT asset management, and procurement in line with Palladium standards.
- Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols, DFAT and Palladium policies, and relevant legislation (ISO standards, Privacy Act, Cyber Security Act).
- Maintaining accurate records of IT issues, risks, and incidents, and liaise with Global IT for escalations.
- Promoting cyber security awareness, contribute to disaster recovery planning, and support climate-friendly practices.
- Upholding safeguarding standards, GEDSI objectives, and SWLT principles while fostering a collaborative learning culture.
About you
- Proven experience in supporting Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience with imaging and device management tools (e.g., Microsoft Autopilot, Intune).
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and concepts (firewalls, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing).
- Skilled in managing and troubleshooting ICT systems and infrastructure in professional settings.
- Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and environmentally responsible ICT practices.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and multitasking abilities with a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated adaptability, positivity, and continuous learning mindset.
