Australia Awards & Alumni Engagement Program - Philippines

The Australia Awards and Alumni Engagement Program Philippines (AAAEP-P) supports the Philippines to progress its development goals and have positive relationships with Australia that advance mutual interests through a mix of long-term scholarships, short courses, Fellowships and other forms of training for current and emerging leaders and influencers, alongside strategic engagement with alumni.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Provide HRD planning advice to participating organisations within the context of their organisational competency requirements
  • Establish and maintain a sound working relationship with partner organisations' management and HRD staff
  • Assist in planning appropriate and realistic re-entry action plans for trainees to maximise the transfer of knowledge and skills to address competency gaps and achieve the strategic goals of partner organisations
  • Provide advice on developing strategies to effectively use feedback data from M&E processes
  • Manage the procurement and engagement of Learning Service Providers (LSPs) following the Policy of TTID and DFAT
  • Manage the contract and ensure excellent performance of LSPs with their engagement with partner organisations

 

Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications (preferable postgraduate) in Education, Human Resource Management (HRM), Human Resource Development (HRD), International Relations, or Development Studies
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective HRD interventions in response to competency-based training needs assessments and requests for support in particular areas of competency
  • Experience in the project management of training and development programs, including a highly developed understanding of the full cycle of delivering training and development programs from concept, content development, participation in the facilitation of training workshops, through to evaluation and reporting to key stakeholders
  • Experience in working with the Philippines public sector
  • Proven experience providing mentoring and coaching to teams
  • Proven track record in partnership development
