The Opportunity

  • Part-time position, working at least 2 days per week with the possibility to work additional hours
  • Location: Port Moresby, PNG
  • Reserved for PNG citizens only
  • Provide secretariat services for the JSC meetings and technical working groups
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships with the Government of Papua New Guinea, other donors, non-government organisations, partner tertiary institutions, and private sector

Description

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Governance and Partnerships Adviser to join our team. The Governance and Partnerships Adviser will be responsible for providing secretariat services to the AAPNG Joint Steering Committee (JSC), managing key stakeholder relationships, and supporting business development. This role involves ensuring strong commitment to and compliance with Tetra Tech's values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretariat services for the JSC meetings and technical working groups
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships with the Government of Papua New Guinea, other donors, non-government organisations, partner tertiary institutions, and private sector
  • Develop potential new partnerships, particularly with the private sector
  • Liaise with and develop mutually beneficial relationships with key representatives from the public, private, and civil sectors to foster their engagement with alumni and the program more broadly
  • Contribute to service agreement deliverables, strategic documents, and other reports, including monitoring and evaluation data, as required in an accurate, timely, and reliable manner
  • Support the promotion and outreach of AAPNG program activities
  • Ensure agreed outputs are submitted on time and to a high standard in line with company and DFAT requirements
  • Champion all activities addressing GEDSI principles and objectives
  • Lead by example and contribute to the development of a program culture that adheres to the Tetra Tech Values and Behaviours
  • Other duties from time to time, as may be reasonably requested by DFAT and Tetra Tech

 

Selection Criteria:

  • Undergraduate degree in human resource development, education, international development, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder relationship management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the Government of PNG and agencies, with established networks
  • Demonstrated experience in project management in an international development context
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing tasks in a timely manner
  • Experience in report writing
  • Strong computer skills using all Microsoft Office 365 applications
