• Seeking an experienced Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Specialist to support the Governance Partnership team to achieve its objective in mainstreaming the GEDSI Strategy into practicable activities.

Position Summary:
The GEDSI Specialist will support the Governance Partnership team to achieve its objective in mainstreaming the GEDSI Strategy into practicable activities.
Key Responsibilities:
GEDSI
• Update the GEDSI Strategy and ensure it is operationalised across program activities; and advisers are supported and enabled to integrate GEDSI into interventions.
• Identify and consult with relevant stakeholders and partners as part of activity design, implementation, and monitoring; and to identify additional resources to support program implementation, where required.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to selected GEDSI staff with the objective of capacitating local staff to have a more robust engagement in GEDSI.
• Provide support in monitoring the implementation of GEDSI-related activities and the effectiveness of GEDSI mainstreaming in program implementation, including but not limited to, data collection, stakeholder reflections, and data analyses and interpretation.
• Conduct in-person learning events / stakeholder discussions when needed.
Communications
• provide advice during the planning of communications and public diplomacy promotions to ensure that language and message are aligned to GEDSI ethos.
Monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning (MERL)
• contribute to GEDSI data collection, analysis, and reporting as instructed by the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team, and in compliance with the GEDSI Strategy.
• undertake analysis of data and reports to guide lessons-learned and continuous improvement of the program implementation.
• support the design and ongoing improvement of program activities by providing inputs on theory of change, measurable indicators, baseline data, communication, and reporting frameworks.
Key Deliverables:
• Annual Work Plan – in consultation with the MEL Team.
• Annual Report – technical and strategic inputs or contributions that covers activities and impacts.
• Internal Monitoring Report (IMR) – contribute to the IMR for submission to DFAT.
• Progress Reports – as agreed by the Team Leader and the MEL Team.
• Other ad-hoc reports or inputs.
Key Working Relationships:
The position will be managed by the Team Leader, Governance Partnership, in close coordination with the MEL Team.
Selection Criteria:
• Tertiary qualifications in social sciences, gender studies, public policy, management, development studies or related area.
• At least 10 years' experience in the design and management of high-level advisory international development programs.
• A strong technical background from policy and strategic advice to civil society engagement and activity implementation.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex and technical information to a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated experience in briefing and working closely with senior government officials in a donor context.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds including people with disabilities.
• Knowledge and understanding of the different needs of stakeholders from various backgrounds.
