The Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement GEDSI activities aligned with the PLMSP GEDSI Strategy and annual plan, ensuring cultural appropriateness for Pacific and Timor‑Leste contexts.
- Ensure GEDSI activities are delivered on time and within budget, monitoring progress against the annual plan.
- Lead the GEDSI Community of Practice, including engagement with country GEDSI focal points, strategic planning, agenda development, facilitation and documentation.
- Provide responsive technical GEDSI support to in‑country inclusion coordinators, LSUs and DFAT as required.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of GEDSI resources, including training materials, guidelines, SOPs and best practice notes, ensuring culturally appropriate delivery.
- Support LSUs to build and strengthen GEDSI partnerships across the labour mobility ecosystem in line with the Community of Care approach.
- Coordinate GEDSI‑related events and initiatives, including international awareness days such as International Women’s Day and International Day of People with Disabilities.
- Work collaboratively across PLMSP to mainstream GEDSI principles across program activities and support flagship GEDSI initiatives as required.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Gender Studies, Social Sciences, International Development, Community Development or Anthropology.
- Minimum five years’ professional experience working in relevant programs, preferably with a Pacific and/or Timor‑Leste focus.
- Demonstrated experience delivering GEDSI programming, including areas such as workplace inclusion, prevention and response to violence against women, women’s economic empowerment or women’s leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in complex, cross‑cultural environments.
- Proven experience managing budgets and resources, ensuring deliverables are implemented on time and within scope.
- Strong facilitation skills, including experience designing and delivering GEDSI training and capacity‑building activities.
- Strong liaison and coordination skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams, partners and stakeholders.
- Highly developed organisational and communication skills, including strong written reporting ability and the capacity to prioritise competing demands and work under pressure.
