About Aus4Skills Vietnam

Aus4Skills is a DFAT-funded program supporting Vietnam in accessing and using high-level professional and technical knowledge, skills, and competencies to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program includes initiatives such as the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC), Australia Awards Scholarships, Alumni Engagement, and capacity building in higher education and vocational training.

Position Overview:

As a Communications Coordinator, you will be part of the PR and Communications team, providing input and support for the program’s external and internal communications, strategic communications, events delivery, and public relations. You will assist in developing communications and branding materials, support media planning for events, and contribute to the management of Aus4Skills’ digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication and branding materials (print and audiovisual) including videos, flyers, fact sheets, and posters to support Aus4Skills activities.
  • Collaborate with consultants and contractors to produce promotional materials across various platforms to engage target audiences.
  • Support media planning and event logistics, including arranging journalists, photographers, and videographers.
  • Assist with social media content creation and website management in coordination with the Senior Digital Media Officer.
  • Monitor media clippings, update communications MEL indicators, and develop monthly communications reports.
  • Ensure all communications products comply with branding guidelines and quality standards.
  • Support the delivery of events and promotional activities, including logistics and participant evaluations.
  • Promote gender equality, disability, and social inclusion considerations in communication activities.
  • Adhere to DFAT policies on child protection, preventing sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, privacy, fraud, and other cross-cutting areas.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communication, journalism, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in project communications and public relations for multilateral or bilateral development projects, preferably in human resource development or education management.

Proven experience in planning and organizing events and promotional activities.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, social media management (Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter), and design/video editing software (InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Illustrator).
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills in English and Vietnamese with attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Flexibility to work under pressure and respond quickly to new demands.
