Description

The Role

The Clinical Governance Advisor will play a vital role in guiding the revision and implementation plan for Nauru’s Clinical and Public Health Governance Framework and Manual. Key tasks include:

  • Analyse current clinical and public health governance documents to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather input and ensure the framework reflects diverse perspectives and operational realities.
  • Incorporate public health and primary healthcare principles into the governance structure to ensure applicability to both DPH and DHMS activities
  • Create a realistic, phased implementation plan, in collaboration with the DHMS and DPH clinical governance teams

Requirements

  • +10 years of clinical experience, including expertise in clinical and public health governance
  • Degree in medicine or nursing 
  • Medical registration from country of origin
  • Proven health system experience in resource constrained settings
  • Strong strategic planning and implementation skills
  • Strong writing and communication skills
