The Australia-Papua New Guinea Economic Partnership (APEP) is a multi-sector investment which is assisting the Government of Papua New Guinea to (PNG) achieve a resilient and diversified economy that provides a high quality of life for all Papua New Guineans. 

The APEP Efficient and Inclusive Markets (EIM) work stream seeks to address common bottlenecks within the system, at both macro and micro levels, to deliver inclusive growth and increase economic opportunities for women, marginalised groups, and rural populations. 

The Strongim Hub, Strongim Bisnis project will work with key partners in the private sector to improve the supply of high quality, demand-driven business support to Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in PNG by delivering tailored capacity development support to up to five privately-operated ‘SME Hubs’.

• Seeking a qualified professional with knowledge of evaluation concepts and methodologies and experience in the international development sector
• Manage data collection and reporting to support and enhance monitoring, evaluation and research functions of a disability and gender-based violence Program.
• Work with a variety of stakeholders, including Government to meet diverse reporting requirements and provide high quality information and data to influence policy and planning with evidence.

Program Background

Partnerships for Infrastructure (P4I) is the Australian Government’s flagship infrastructure initiative for Southeast Asia. It partners with Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to foster inclusive growth through sustainable economic infrastructure (i.e. transport, energy, telecommunications, and utilities).

Delivered through a single team, the initiative is led by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in collaboration with EY, Adam Smith International, The Asia Foundation and Ninti One. The Program’s Head Office is in Bangkok.

P4I focuses on infrastructure prioritisation and planning, policy and regulation, and procurement and project preparation (P4I does not finance the delivery of infrastructure). All services aim to address gender equality and social inclusion, and disaster risk reduction and climate change issues. P4I can respond to rapid requests, but ultimately aims to develop longer-term infrastructure engagement.
