Description

Request for Proposal: Partnership Facilitation Services

Key Information
Job Title: Request for Proposal: Partnership Facilitation Services
Sector: partnership facilitation services
Position Type: Short-time
Position Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Background of the Program

The DFAT-funded Knowledge Partnership Platform (KONEKSI) is Australia’s flagship program in the Indonesia knowledge and innovation sector. KONEKSI’s goal is to achieve an enduring relationship between Indonesia and Australia that advances mutual interest and supports Indonesia’s inclusive and sustainable development. The purpose of the program is to increase the use of knowledge-based solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies. This purpose positions KONEKSI as a vehicle to produce knowledge on complex socio-economic problems, where effective solutions are often beyond a unique sector or category of stakeholders. It will support both the knowledge to policy cycle (K2P) and the knowledge to innovation cycle (K2I), in a complementary and synergistic way.

KONEKSI will focus on two End of Investment Outcomes (EOIOs):

  1. Australian and Indonesian organisations have increased collaboration and mutual understanding through knowledge partnerships; and
  2. Innovative solutions for inclusive and sustainable policies and technologies are generated by knowledge partnerships.

About the Engagement

KONEKSI is seeking a qualified organisation/firm that can deliver partnership facilitation services to support constructive dialogue among partners, strengthen mutual understanding, and assist partnerships in developing shared approaches to collaboration.

KONEKSI currently supports more than 60 active knowledge partnerships involving over 100 organisations across Indonesia and Australia. Given the scale and diversity of the portfolio, there is an opportunity to provide additional partnership strengthening support to selected partnerships, particularly those involving large and complex multi-stakeholder collaboration arrangements.

The objective of this assignment is to support partners to clarify expectations, roles, communication approaches, and working arrangements, while fostering inclusive and effective engagement across institutions. All facilitation activities will be guided by the KONEKSI Partnership Pillars Framework, which provides a structured approach for partners to reflect on contributions, goals, relationships, resources, and work processes within the partnership.

The service provider will be engaged on an as-needed basis to support selected KONEKSI partnerships where additional facilitation and structured partnership dialogue may strengthen collaboration. Under the direction of the Head of Partnerships Management, the service provider will provide facilitation support to Indonesian and Australian partners during key stages of partnership development and implementation
