Aus4Skills

The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam to access and use high level professional and technical knowledge, skills and competencies, to contribute to the country's sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links and therefore strengthen the partnership between the two countries.

Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Key responsibilities

- Assist with the planning and delivery of MAP activities to support their effective and efficient delivery in terms of administrative, financial and logistical support.
- Support Australian delivery partners to ensure MAP training activities are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and within the Government of Vietnam context, systems and ways of working.
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation activities, planning and delivery of MAP governance activities and in identifying risks and mitigation measures for MAP activities and implementing those measures.
- Provide logistical support to international and national long-term and short-term advisors.
- Assist the monitoring of expenditure and commitments and identifying variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures.
- Ensure gender equality, disability and social inclusion considerations are promoted and mainstreamed into MAP activities where possible.

Selection criteria

- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications or professional experience equivalent (preferably Business Administration, Public relations, Event Management, Communication, and Social Studies).
- At least two years of experience in coordinating projects, human resource development, public relations or education administration in an international context.
- Professional experience with supporting the planning and delivery of a variety of events, including short courses, workshops, conferences and seminars in Vietnam and Australia.
- Good inter-personal and oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English language, for building and maintaining relationships, delivering messages, identifying, and managing issues, translating and reporting.
- Good computer skills, including the ability to use databases, create presentations and learn customised programs designed for supporting networks of people.
- Knowledge of Vietnam's education and/or development and international engagement priorities and communication/social media, an advantage.
