The Australia Awards South Asia & Mongolia program is seeking technical proposals from Registered Training Organisations in Australia, or Australian tertiary institutions as defined in the Higher Education Support Act, 2003 Table A, B and C, to design and deliver a Short Course on Transforming TVET Policy for Inclusive and Future-Ready Skills Systems (Multi-Country).
Australia Awards – South Asia & Mongolia (the Program) is seeking a cost-effective training program for up to 24 participants. This Short Course will be delivered via blended delivery over five months, commencing in December 2025 and completing no later than May 2026.
Australia’s TVET system is recognised internationally for its industry-driven, outcomes-focussed and quality assured approach. For example, the Australian apprenticeship based TVET model could serve as a best practice for the TVET sector policymakers to replicate in their respective countries TVET sectors.
The proposed Short Course aims to bring together policy makers or practitioners from across the AASAM region to identify opportunities to learn from each other’s experiences in maturing their respective TVET systems in this Short Course focusing on the following learning outcomes.
On completion of the Short Course participants will be able to:

Comprehend the advantages of the Australian apprenticeship based TVET model

Gain insights into skills and training occupational qualification requirements.

Analyse and critique their country’s current TVET policy frameworks.

Design inclusive, industry-aligned TVET strategies.

Use digital learning platforms and applications to design modern, inclusive curricula.

Apply regional and international good practice in TVET governance, financing, and partnerships.

Facilitate regional cooperation for mutual recognition and mobility.
