The Program

ASEAN-Australia Centre Leadership Program

The ASEAN-Australia Centre Leadership Program (ALP) supports the ASEAN-Australia Centre’s work to build a network of future ASEAN leaders with strong connections to Australia, who will drive positive change across Australia and Southeast Asia. The ALP consists of two tiers of programs in Australia: Short Courses and an Emerging Leaders Program.

The Role

As the Leadership Program Coordinator you will be the main point of contact for both Short Course and Emerging Leaders Program participants and providers to ensure successful activity delivery.

You will be responsible for delivering the activity cycle requirements across two Short Courses and two Emerging Leaders Programs, including provider procurement, contracting and management, as well as participant recruitment, selection and mobilisation.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure efficient delivery of the activity cycle according to workplan timelines, identifying and addressing emerging issues and risks, and coordinating administrative support during peak periods.
  • Develop activity provider documentation and deliver marketing activities to ensure an adequate pool of potential providers with the necessary expertise.
  • Deliver activity provider procurement in alignment with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules including responding to provider queries, tender compliance checking and coordination of Tender Assessment Panels and reporting.
  • Contract activity providers, negotiating where necessary to ensure quality delivery within the available budget envelope.
  • Deliver candidate promotion, recruitment and selection processes, including development of promotional content and circulation, responding to candidate queries, coordinating with advisers and the Centre, eligibility and compliance checking of applications and coordinating assessment and ranking and online interviews.
  • Deliver participant pre-departure preparations including return travel procurement, visa application support and liaise with providers on pre-departure briefings.
  • Monitor activity provider delivery including key deliverables and escalating issues where necessary to the Team Leader.
  • With the Project Manager, administer provider invoicing and payments and ensure accurate forecast updates to the Centre for monthly reporting.
  • Other tasks requested by the Team Leader.

About you

You will possess:

  • Strong knowledge of professional development, leadership development, adult education and Australian training providers.
  • Experience coordinating logistics and delivery of education programs.
  • Advanced organisational skills with proven track record in project administration, including procurement and contracting capability.
  • A high level of cultural awareness, ability to build effective relationships and communicate with people at a range of professional levels. Southeast Asia work experience and cultural literacy an advantage.
