About the Proposal
Pacific Australia Skills is a significant Australian investment which stands to make a major contribution to supporting social and economic growth in the region through strengthening the skills and training sector across the Pacific and Timor-Leste. Pacific Australia Skills builds on the achievements of 17 year of Australian Government support for skills and training in the Pacific.
Pacific Australia Skills will equip Pacific and Timor-Leste students and workers, in all their diversity to gain employment. The investment will develop partnerships to strengthen skills and training systems to be more inclusive and responsive to local and regional labour market priorities. Pacific Australia Skills will contribute to greater collaboration and cooperation among national and regional educational institutions to promote authentic partnerships, test and scale new approaches, and foster linkages between Pacific, Timorese, and Australian skills development systems.
Purpose
To create a centralised, automated, and secure platform that manages learner registration processing, enrolment and their skills development journey with Pacific Australia Skills. The system should also serve as a database for all learner data, streamline administrative processes, enhance communication across country offices, and improve operational efficiency with enhanced reporting capabilities for data analysis and dashboard visualisations.
Scope
The system should provide modules/capabilities to address:
- Learner registration – online registration, customisable online application forms, document uploads and administration tracking.
- Learner Portal
- Enrolments
- Learning Management System
- Alumni Management
- Integration with other systems.
Features and Functionalities
- User Management: Authentication, registration, profile management for students and staff.
- Learner Information Management: Centralised database for learner profiles, attendance, and contact information.
- Academic Management: Course and class management, attendance tracking, assignment submissions, and grading.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Dynamic dashboards and tools for generating reports on learner enrolments, completions, course progress, etc
- Communication Tools: Features for communication between students and skills development advisers.
- Security and Data Integrity: Robust measures to protect sensitive student data which should align with Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), the Information Security Manual (ISM), and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- Integration: Capability to integrate with other existing and upcoming systems as well as the Management Information System (MIS).
- Devices: A system that can be accessed on various devices and platforms.
