About the role
Alinea International is looking for a part-time Finance Officer to work alongside our Operations Team in supporting our company’s continuous growth. This role will be based in Alinea International’s Head Office in Melbourne and will provide general assistance to Alinea International’s offices and other staff in the organisation, as required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
Banking requirements including:
- Cashflow analysis and requirement monitoring
- Reconciliations of accounts including credit cards
Accounts Payable:
- Responsibility for accounts payable sub ledger including invoice entry and payments
- Responsibility for prepayment of travel accounts and the corporate credit card
Lodgement and Employments liabilities payments:
- Goods and Service tax lodgements
- PAYG payments and monitoring
- Superannuation payments
- Payroll Tax lodgements
General Ledger assistance:
- Monthly standard journal processing and maintenance of work papers
- Support in preparation of monthly management reports
- Support in preparations of annual accounts and external audit
- Accounts Receivable
- Overview of ageing
Other Responsibilities:
- Annual insurance renewal program
- Assistance with preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
Payroll:
- Process of payroll
- Other duties as required.
Selection criteria:
- Previous experience in a finance role
- Computer skills and experience
- Excellent skills and experience with Excel;
- Extensive experience with accounting software programs with ERP systems experience highly regarded.
- High level of general computer literacy
- Experience, and accuracy, with data entry
- Qualification in accounting or bookkeeping or more than 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
