The Australia Awards South Asia & Mongolia program is seeking technical proposals from Registered Training Organisations in Australia, or Australian tertiary institutions as defined in the Higher Education Support Act, 2003 Table A, B and C, to design and deliver a Short Course in ‘Indigenous Environmental Knowledge' for up to 20 participants from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Mongolia.
Australia Awards South Asia & Mongolia is seeking a cost-effective Short Course training program for up to 20 participants. This Short Course will be delivered via mixed mode delivery (online and face-to-face in-Australia). Delivery will be over six months, commencing early 2025 and completing no later than June 2025.
This Short Course will allow participants from Nepal, Bangladesh and Mongolia to explore Australian Indigenous environmental management and conservation practices. The primary purpose of this Short Course is to equip participants with knowledge, skills and tools needed to support and enhance environmental conservation work in their home countries.
The Short Course will be delivered via a blended mode (online, in-Australia and in-region) using various connected learning strategies. The Short Course will include a combination of workshops, field visits and interactive sessions with Indigenous community members. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with Indigenous knowledge holders and community leaders, facilitating a meaningful understanding of Indigenous perspectives on environmental management and conservation.
In designing the Short Course program, the Provider will be expected to engage with a number of specified First Nations agencies to support face to face engagement, facilitate networking and encourage collaboration amongst the Participant cohort.
