About the Opportunity

The Secretariat Coordinator will support the BP Advisers and their key counterparts by strengthening and maintaining strategic and effective relations between the ABG and GoPNG counterparts and DFAT on identified priorities emerging from governance fora and collective decision making. This includes coordination and collaboration with BP Advisers to ABG departments on all follow up actions and priorities required of Steering Committee and Technical Working Group members emerging from governance meetings.

The Secretariat Coordinator will also provide strategic internal and external support to the BP, the Steering Committee and the Technical Working Groups to achieve APSP Performance Assessment Framework (PAF) including recording the monitoring and evaluation of governance protocols, deliberations and agreed decision making for alignment with Bougainville Partnership 6-month and annual reporting and end of program outcomes including:

• EOIO1: Efficient and effective programs delivered in selected provinces that achieve planned end of program outcomes.
• EOIO2: Australia is recognized as a well-informed and constructive partner for investment and policy dialogue at subnational level.

About You

We are seeking an individual with the following:

Qualifications:
• Tertiary degree in a related field such as community development, political science, governance, economics, etc.

Skills/Experience:
• 5+ years professional experience providing high level and quality support.
• Broad exposure to the Bougainville post-referendum governance and development context, including an understanding ABG and GoPNG departments engaged in Bougainville Partnership investments to support, capable institutions, economic development and strengthening communities.
• High level of analytical and writing skills including the preparation of meeting papers, briefs and policy analysis for a government audience.
• Excellent project management, delegation and negotiation skills to meet key deliverables within timeframes, including the ability to manage upwards.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship management expertise, with proven results in working with senior leaders and officials, using sound judgement and managing sensitive and confidential information.
• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to collaborate with team members towards a shared purpose.
• A demonstrated commitment to fostering a culture of gender equity and social inclusion within the team and through project management practices.
