Summary

South Asia Regional Infrastructure Connectivity (SARIC) is a DFAT funded program and aims to deepen economic linkages and support regional prosperity and inclusive growth by enabling more, better-quality and socially inclusive connectivity infrastructure in South Asia, with a focus on the energy and transport sector. One of the crucial components for achieving the same includes -Training and Networking Services (TNS) being managed by Palladium from 2022 to 2025 through a series of short-term training and networking events. Through this announcement, we are seeking proposals from an Australian higher education provider (see Table A, B, C of the Higher Education Support Act 2003); approved regional/South Asian higher education institute; or Universities with global accreditations- accredited by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB); higher educational institutions that are officially accredited or recognised higher education institutions (HEIs) as per International Association of Universities; Vocational educational and training institutes/organisations/consulting firms registered under the respective countries land laws or government mandate to design and deliver a Short Term Training in ‘Dam Safety Principles’ (South Asia).

Description

SARIC Program is seeking a cost-effective Short Term Training program for up to 15 Participants. The Short Term Training will be delivered via mixed mode delivery (online and face-to-face, either in-Australia or in South Asia or at the training partner’s location). Delivery will be over 11 weeks, commencing in July-September 2023.

The provision of Short Term Training services will be for a mix of individuals from the infrastructure sector directly involved in the preparation and/or eventual delivery of the projects identified by the World Bank and IFC.
The scope of services includes Course development and delivery, Pastoral care services, and Networking event among other related activities. The Short Term Training aims to broadly cover the technical topics with respect to 'Dam Safety' like ALARP principle, ICOLD approach, regulatory and legal framework, risk management, GEDSI, ESG, resilient and sustainable infrastructure (G20 principles).
