The Role
Prospera seeks to recruit Senior Expert on government data Integration to support the implementation of the Government of Indonesia’s Satu Data Indonesia (SDI) initiative. A Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on Satu Data Indonesia or One Data Indonesia (SDI) was established in 2019 to transform data sharing arrangements between public service agencies and better use of official statistics, administrative data, and big data for policy making.
The expert is to evaluate various pilot initiatives that are underway and assess how to support the most promising priority initiatives that can be used to document the systems, frameworks, and the regulatory foundation to scale up success to the larger ambition of SDI. This SDI support is aligned with Prospera’s goal to assist Indonesian government agencies to be more connected and informed by making better use of government data for positive impacts on citizens.
Program Background
Prospera is a partnership facility between the Government of Australia (through Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) and the Government of Indonesia. It aims to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. Commencing from 1 March 2018, Prospera is a planned five-year investment.

About You
The candidate will possess strong qualifications and experience as follows:
1. Masters’ or higher degree in statistics, economics, public policy/administration, or related areas in data integration, big data, administrative data, data analytics desirable.
2. Minimum 15-year experience in government data integration initiatives, excellent background in statistical methodology, and leadership in developing, harmonising data initiatives across government for key policy outcomes. Experience working in national statistics office desirable.
3. Familiarity of working within government frameworks, data and security policies, and proven effective working relationships with senior government officials in national and regional governments.
4. Ability to influence and operate effectively and sensitively in a cross-cultural, bureaucratic environment with senior to junior officials.
5. High level communication skills and ability in written and spoken English, and proficiency in high-level presentations for stakeholders in government and policy makers.
Remuneration
The remuneration will be set according to Adviser Remuneration Framework Group D, Job Level 4. This position open for International and National Indonesian. The remuneration level at which the position is engaged will be based on the successful candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
