About the Program
ESIP is a development assistance program supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and implemented by DT Global. Under strategic direction from DFAT officials at the Australian High Commission in PNG, ESIP is delivering a range of activities and policy initiatives in the energy, telecommunications and water sectors. ESIP is also supporting PNG’s state-owned enterprise reform program and delivering social infrastructure design and construction services. Gender equity, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI), social and environmental safeguards and Locally led Development are a focus of the program and are mainstreamed across ESIP’s activities and operations.

About the role
The Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) is calling for applications from suitably qualified firms to undertake the implementation of upgrading work at various PNG Power Ltd (PPL) mini-grids throughout PNG. The upgrades are turnkey Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) works for new diesel generators and Photovoltaic solar hybrid systems including Battery Energy Storage Systems of varying sizes at the selected PPL mini-grid centers.

This application is open to companies that meet the criteria detailed in the pre-qualification documentation.

The deadline for prequalification submission is 4.00 pm (Port Moresby time) on 14 July 2023. ESIP will not accept submissions that are late.


Questions about the prequalification can be emailed to esiptenders@esip.org.pg by 4.00 pm (Port Moresby time) on 12 July 2023. No prequalification clarifications will be responded to by ESIP 48 hours before the deadline for prequalification submission.
