The Education Specialist – Research will be supporting members of the Fiji Education Program (FEP) to develop Ministry of Education’s capacity to conduct and use education research to inform changes in practices, policies, and education reforms. This position will be responsible for managing and/or conducting research studies related to FEP areas of interventions. Some of these areas include: student learning outcomes and teacher professional development related to primary-level literacy and numeracy and secondary level English and Mathematics curriculum reform; special and inclusive education; and gender equity, disability inclusion and social inclusion (GEDSI) in education.

The HRMIS and Business Process Systems Developer will be supporting the HRMIS Technical Adviser to roll-out modules across the Ministries. This position will be responsible for analysing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and new modules for the HRMIS and Employee portal. Working closely with the Government of Fiji HRMIS user groups and stakeholders, the HRMIS and Business Process Systems Developer will ensure that the HRMIS solution is developed (coded) and configured (including reporting) in accordance with the intended business requirements, adhering to standard processes and procedures. Effective support will be provided to the Government of Fiji and the IPP team of the Strategic Workforce Planning and Business Process Improvement to develop custom IT systems that automate the core business processes that have been improved as part of the BPI framework.

The Provincial Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Coordinator (NTB) will work under the guidance of the Provincial Lead – NTB and as part of the Performance and Learning (P&L) team in ensuring consistent and high-quality implementation of the monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) system across the program. The Provincial MERL Coordinator will be based in Mataram to support all areas of MERL in NTB province. He/she will work with other members of the subnational team and the P&L team to ensure SKALA’s MERL resources work as one team by developing and maintaining a strong MERL Community of Practice.

As an integral member of the program’s Senior Leadership Team, the Senior Operations Manager will be responsible in ensuring that program activities and interventions are adequately supported by effective and efficient administrative, human resources, procurement, logistical and financial systems and that they are conducted in accordance with operational guidelines and standards.

The MEL Specialist will take a leading role assessing FHP’s performance, providing decision-makers with the information they need, when they need it. The position will maintain the Health Program’s results framework, get into the field for monitoring visits, collect a range of evidence, and evaluate the performance of various aspects of the Program. This role will convene talanoas involving Health Program, DFAT and MHMS staff and other stakeholders to talk about results and how FHP can improve its performance. They will also lead FHP’s reporting to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), writing clear, concise reports on our development results. As a member of the broader Facility MEL team, the Specialist will contribute to the Facility’s broader MEL approach through advice on MEL tools, processes and guidance.
