Pre-Tender Notice: Kimbe Mini Grid Upgrade
On behalf of the Australian Government, the Economic and Social Infrastructure Program (ESIP) will soon invite tenders from suitably qualified contractor(s) to implement upgrading works at PNG Power Ltd’s site in Kimbe, Papua New Guinea.
The scope of the works will include:
- Improvement of existing site access road
- Civil works, including clearance, fencing, drainage and earth works
- Construction of two staff housing units
- Engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a photovoltaic solar system including battery energy storage system and interconnection to PNG Power’s existing distribution network.
The upcoming tender will be open to contractors that meet the eligibility and capability requirements outlined in the tender documentation, which will be released in the coming weeks.
A Pre-Tender Notice document is available on request to provide an overview of the project and assist interested and prospective tenderers in preparing for the upcoming procurement process.
